As we transition from the close of the holiday season, I extend my deepest gratitude for the meaningful connections and enduring inspiration that ground our personal lives and elevate our academic pursuits. The winter season offers a powerful moment for reflection—to intentionally foster community, honor our significant collective achievements, and firmly focus our vision on the invaluable growth awaiting us at the forthcoming OMEA Professional Development Conference.
In this latest issue of The TRIAD, we capture the essence of that connection with comprehensive updates from our Allied Organizations and Committees, alongside insightful articles focused on strengthening alumni community ties, advancing advocacy, and cultivating deeper awareness within the classroom.
Our OMEA PDC is a great way to recharge your expertise for the spring semester, significantly amplify your advocacy efforts, and forge powerful new connections. We hope to see you at the conference!
Would you like to be a part of the next issue of TRIAD? There are multiple ways you can contribute and we’d love to hear from you!
  • Submit an article: Share a technique or project that has worked well for you! All areas can share articles so we have a diverse representation in TRIAD. You can include video clips, photos, and links to make your article even more effective and useful for our members.
  • Share your activities: Did you have a special event, guest, or concert? Share a few sentences and some photos or video clips so we can show each other all the exciting music making that is happening throughout the state! We will feature these entries in our “Teaching in Action” section.
  • Share your Photos: Using the same form as Share Your Activities you can simply share a photo (or several) of your groups – let us know what the group is and we can recognize your group in TRIAD. Please check that students in the photos have photo release permissions before submitting photos.
  • Interested in being part of our Editorial Board? Join the team and assist with reviewing articles, collecting submissions, and providing your insights into the OMEA TRIAD. Please reach out to editor_of_triad@omea-ohio.org for more details!
