Despite some areas being affected by inclement weather, OMEA had a very successful 2026 Adjudicated Events season! The Adjudicated Events Committee is already hard at work on planning and scheduling for next year.

Reminders:

Check the website for your OMEA District dates for 2027 adjudicated events.
Marching Band Summer Sessions: check the OMEA Calendar for these dates in June and July. All marching band adjudicators and event chairs must attend a session.

Upcoming in 2027:

Solo and Ensemble: soloists will be allowed to perform more than one solo from the same category. For example, a student could perform two solos off the Soprano list, or two trumpet solos, in the same or different class.
Large Group: for Choral and Orchestra students will be permitted to perform in the same numbered event twice, without being on a secondary instrument or voice part. For example, a violin player could perform with two different string orchestras (from the same school) at the same Large Group event. Or a tenor could sing in two different mixed choirs at the same LG event.
